<p>Is it me or do other state signs just look flat out funny? Whenever I travel outside of the state lines (don&#8217;t worry, I take a little bit of Texas soil with me) I find myself staring at their highway signs.  I shot this while venturing into Arkansas a bit ago, it just looks so alien. </p>
<p>For those who were raised here, then moved off, do you ever get used to the oddly shaped signs? Is it conditioning or is the Texas shape just purty?</p>

The Chronicle has a cool page where you can plug in a potential vanity plate to see if it has been taken. &#8220;DWT&#8221; has been taken. Sadly, &#8220;DRCHEM&#8221; is taken, but &#8220;MRCHEM&#8221; is not. I wonder if the world is telling me something.
