Hans' Art Car

The Baker and I were driving by Hans’ Bier Haus (staring longingly at the door, but alas did not enter) on Quenby, when we saw their art car on the corner and had to take a picture. They have turned an early-90’s Isuzu Trooper into their entry for Houston’s Art Car Parade. If you can’t tell from the photo, there are severed kegs on the roof, bottle caps bordering the car, Sam Adams signs as hubcaps (how in the world?) and a damsel-in-distress painting. There’s also a tap on the rear of the car, which we realized one negative-sober night, is not operational.

The most awesome thing about this is they have parked it on the corner of Quenby and Kirby, about 30 ft from its usual location (the front door). The red arrow is pointing the way from the cluster that is lower-Kirby to the tranquilizing bocce safe haven that is Hans’. Wise advice indeed.
